i have a 2000 dodge dak 4.7 4x4. SO far i've put a 40 series flowmaster and 3" pipes from the cat back. I installed a stage II airfilter with 9" mouth (www.intenseperformance.com) and a cowl hood from prestigious1.com. the cooler temp under the hood really shows... i've also installed a killer stereo system. pioneer sells a double din cdplayer with detach face made for chysler vehicals for only $250. It's a pioneer deh-p77 sold a www.audiodiscounters.com...coupled with a MTX box and 2 10" subs under the back seat, and new door and rear 6.5" mids, you lose absolutely no room. You never have to worry about having a great stereo and sacraficing precious cargo room to make way for a bulky subwoofer box... Many are shocked when the wonder where that "BOOM" is coming from when they see no where to hide my speakers. I've gotten nothing but compliments on my truck and it's faster than any truck i've come up to the line with so far. Anyway, i just posted this so some of you dakota enthusiasts have a little direction as to great mods, cuz they've worked great for me so far. P.s., listen to bernd, he's offered a LOT of great advice... good luck fellow dakota lovers, jesse let me know of your mods....

I'm putting in Kenwood z919 mp3 player this weekend and replacing all 4 door speakers on my quad cab. Any ideas about where to put even 1 ten inch sub I am completly stumped

My local Mobile sound shop said they coud make a box for a ten incher behind the back seat (where the jack is I presume). However, He said I would lose the functionability of raising the back seat though. I left it at that.
