Did either of you guys try indexing your plugs?

Because the 3923s don't have an extended tip, indexing them is the way to go.

A spark plug is just a piece of porcelain and some metal going down the center. If anyone tells you otherwise their full of crap.

All plugs are created equal. What happened to common sense in this world?!

Did you hear the latest 24k gold spark plugs increase your horsepower 100 times!

Not so fast there. Autolites are far from any ordinary spark plug. With precision rolled threads, first in class design and high quality manufacture, Autolites are head and shoulders above those "other" spark plugs.

Do yourself and your vehicle a favor today and install a set of those high performing Autolite resistor sparkplugs won't you?

You'll always be right when you use autolite.

Good night!

All plugs are not created equal. When comparing even copper core plugs there are differences. Such as the ohms of the resistor in the plug, base metal purity of the copper core and outer design of the shell, which effects the sealing of the spark plug boot, (ask a Tarus SHO owner! that does make a difference.) I'm doing a change over to Autolite Ar3624's because of the cut back ground electrode will release more flame kernel into the combustion chamber. I have read that these are non-resistor plugs, however the "2" being an even # denotes a resistor/supressor plug
according to Autolites part #ing system.

Harlow - I have a serious question for you.

Which way do the washers go on the Autolite plugs? Small diameter side to the block or to the plug?

Someone told me it didn't matter. If that is so, why did Autolite make the washer with different diameters on either side???

If anyone knows for sure, it must be you!!

Dunno, Harlow seems to have gone to ground since I posted his pic, maybe he's wanted for something, LOL!

I've always put the small side to the head with no issues, but definitely a good question Dakaty.

Dakaty, those fine Autolite spark plugs can have the washer placed small side to the engine. Either way, you'll notice right away how much better your engine runs and how much farther you can go on a gallon of gas. Autolite is renowned for sparkplug "firsts" such as the resistor, the entended tip, and of course, the copper core.

From bumper to tailight, you can't go wrong with Autolite!
