i've made my 5.2 not spin...lol....i added traction bars and 255/70/15's onto my truck...when we first bought it the thing would spin and spin but with the 70 series tires and 116,000 miles and traction bars the thing will spin a couple of feet and then just flat haul ass......that makes it easy to beat these people that roast em at a light i can just walk off cuz i get traction so don't worry bout not spinnin just cuz u aint spinnin don't mean u don't have power...

In that case, a turbo won't work either and you shouldn't blow $3000 on one, because the Tornado Air does the exact same thing, only not on the same level as a turbo. Now, when I put it in I did notice both power and mileage increases, and if I take it out I am dang sure I can notice them decrease. Still, the main thing is that if this device is useless, then so are turbos, and the only useful thing would be nitrous.

well, there are BIG differences... like think about it.

with the turbo, the spinning action of the air rushing in is a byproduct of the swirling action of its impeller and has nothing to do with the power it creates, ahh you know what, nevermind. you're right. I'm wrong. people shouldn't waste their time and money on a turbo. buy the tornado instead everyone. ;oP

As an owner of a superchared dak i must say that i should have saved a couple thousand and just bought the Tornado instead.... lol

I Turbo and a Supercharger COMPRESS the air making it more dense. A tornado claims to help with the fuel/air mixture which is a bunch of bull sh*t. Absolutely no compression of air.

I sure as hell spun the f*ck out of mine this afternoon. Some dumb b*tch in a Kia Sportage was stomping her brakes, then flooring it in rush-hour traffic. Eventually it caused me to skid to a stop at a light. When the light went green I put it on the floor and even though I have a metal camper-shell on the truck both wheels spun like heck and i tore off after her. She wouldn't stop right away but when I started drifting right she stopped that Kia and my roommate and I jumped out and asked her what the F*CK she was doing back there and told her she almost caused a BAD wreck (thank God the guy behind me veered left). I was so close to losing it and beating the crap out of this dumb blonde bimbo. Oh well, jail doesn't appeal to me.

Don't feel bad, my Dak RC 4.7L W/auto just quit turning the tires over. When I bought it the thing would fry the tires at any speed below 20mph. Now it will barely chirp them. It can't make up it's mind what RPM to idle at and it hessitates when you floor it. I used to could put the truck in 1st and at 15mph cherp the tires by barely bumping the throttle. Now it just hooks up. I don't even have a posi-trac. The transmission also is begining to slip and it only has 10K on it. Looks like I'll be getting rid of another one at the end of the warranty. This will make the 7th Dakota I've gone through in 11 years.

I wish my tires wouldn't spin, I was at the track sunday, with my 2003 reg cab, 2wd 4.7 5spd with 3.92's lsd, and my best time was 15.2 at 88, I had bad wheel hop through first and second, and was still spinnin in 3rd....if I had traction, easy 14's, and the only mods is a homemade cold air, and single 3 inch magnaflow

Don't really know why you can't spin the tires, I can spin or launch whenever I want just by brake torquing and whomping on it! All of this with a darn drive shaft disconnect! Which, by the way I want the hell off of my truck!!!!
Have fun with it, thats what it's all about!!!!!

Mine won't spin either. I have a nearly identical
Quad to "03qc"'s and, while I don't go driving
around like crazy, mine don't spin all over the
place either.

It'll accellerate pretty good when I goose it, but
generally I'm already moving at that point and
it's just to pass someone. Maybe I baby mine
too much! It only has 3500 miles on it if that's
a factor. I don't have full time AWD.

I'll give it a shot after work today. Maybe I can
break 'em loose.

I have am 02 DAK with a 4.7V8, 5spd, lsd rear with 3.55 gears. The truck has about 45K on the clock and I still have trouble not roasting the tires....

This things kind of reminds me of a 60s-70s small block muscle car. I really love using the power when those yuppie @##$%'s in their German and Japanese "luxo road obstacles" try weaving in and out of traffic, or at the stop light grand prix....

Well bluedak, if you're referring to a BMWs and Mercedes... you might see more taillights than you might expect. Japanese, yes you're right on, mostly 4 bangers. However, being a BMW enthusiast, i've owned many and can say from experience-- the little 4.7 liter is no match for the BMW 6 cylinder (or 8). Not to start a flamewar, but fact is fact and also factoring in power to weight ratio. My older '88 325is made more hp/torque per liter (2.5ltr 168hp/171tq) from the factory than any of today's american V8s, and would eat my truck for lunch on any given day. The only obstacles are the idiots behind the wheel. :O)

Best performance engines in the world are pretty much inline 6's or V12's (just two inline 6's).

For example, BMW 3.2L I6. Toyota 3.0L I6 (twin turbo). Nissan RB series (25 and 26).
