I traded in a 2002 dakota with the 3.9. I bought the 4.7 CC 4wd. Dark blue. This is truly a nice truck. Got it last Saturday the 13th Mar. I dropped in a K and N filter and welded a magna flow on the stock exhaust with stainless tip.
I live in Monterey but grew up in San Jose, would be interested in seeing some other Dakotas that have modifications.

I drive a 2002 Dadota Quad Cab, 4.7 - 5 speed. It already has a K&N and aftermarket, great sounding, exhaust. Anything out there to improve gas mileage? I'm getting 14.5 City and 17.5 highway?

Hey AJ, nice to read your post I also live in Monterey I drive a 2002 Dadota Quad Cab, 4.7 flame red 4.7, auto, 3.55 home brew (diesel exhaust pipe)K&N drop in, TPS@.76 180 stat removed fan and cut green wire with yellow trace.

Hello:
I just bought an 2002 white Quad cab 4.7, automatic and 3.55 anti-spin differential, with the towing package(9.25"). It just turned 36,000 original miles on it! it has an 3-inch pipe section about 36-inches between the third CAT and the Walker Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler(3" Inlet and two(2-1/2")outlets into dual 2-1/2" stainless tail pipes exiting neatly under the rear bumper. I live in the East Bay area, in Antioch! I'm pleased to hear about the new Dakota club starting up!
