I paid $70/cam that included shipping. It sounds like you guys are going to be paying a hair bit more, but if you wait much longer, it may be even more expensive. It's only an extra $50 overall......

Guess what I'm saying is, if you were to be buying a cam and intake manifold combo for something like a 5.0 or a Camaro, then you would be paying a LOT more than $180. I'm talkin' like $500 or worse.......

I guess just be grateful and hurry up & order!!

yes but the cams you're buying for the 'stang or the 'maro aren't stock cams from another vehicle. they're custom grinds.. not really any more money goes into production, but u do have to pay for performance

That's my point. Paying $180 for 10-15 more hp and a 20ft/lbs* of torque is damn cheap!!

*Approx KRC dyno numbers....

Let me explain this further.....

Ask your dealer for a price on the STOCK cam for YOUR 4.7 motor. Not the Jeep part number, YOUR motor part number.

My dealer told me that those are about $230 PER CAM!!!!!

Holy Schnikeys!!

Who's got the best price on the Mopar H.O. cams for the 4.7 engine. I was going to buy from this site as soon as my warranty expired but, they just jacked the price per cam up from $55 to $81.
http://www.buymopar.com/store/jeep.html
Does anyone know of a site that's still selling the cams for about $55 per cam? Thanks for your help.

Does getting aftermarket cams void warranty?
I will hopefully have a 4.7 5-speed in a month and I plan on giving it a bit of aftermarket performance.

So is the lowest price now the 100.88 (previously $88)I posted above? I see KRC sells thier version for $199 a pair. Guess I'll go that route if so. I can't find any $55 that's for sure....

gps, whats your coordinates?- J/K, you know gps?

Have you tried where i got mine, from the Dodge dealer in Wakefield Rhode Island? Since I have them installed, I guess you'll have to check them yourself, but it could be worth it. Mine were $120 shipped.-for the pair, not each.

If I've posted and/or you've tried this already-my bad, sorry, just rying to help a fellow dak owner.

Yankee Gary,
I have an 01, QC, Dak, 4.7, 5spd manual.
I pull my 20ft. catamaram sailboat, trailer and boat weigh about 1,000 lbs. And after I installed the HO cams, with a few minor mods, it pulls in 5th at 2,ooorpms, at 65MPH (3.55 LSD rear end). The torque at those low r's is soo much better now, whereas I used to have to put it back down to 4th on hills at those low r's.

Thanx Todd, kinda the info Im lookin for, although Im pullin a 24ft westwind holiday trailer, wheighs about 5500lbs loaded, and pulls good, even through the mountains, but ya can never have to much torque.... Im sure it could pull better and easier, Im workin pretty hard with it, infact I have to take out my chip because the shift points are to agressive with the trailer on, which is why i whant the extra muscle

That's why I wanted it too. I'm pulling a 30 foot Trail Lite travel trailer. It's 4800 dry. I try to pull it with nothing in it, but...you can't go with nothing either. I'm suprised how well the quad pulls it really.
