Has anyone with an older truck replaced injectors?

I mean direct replacement stock injectors?

I have a 1992 and it has the stock injectors. I picked up a set off of a 2001 3.9 liter. Hopefully they are the same.

But, will I notice an improvement in fuel economy?

I get around 10-11mpg now. Its terrible.

Thanks

No No

00 and up ran 21 pound
92 to 99 ran 19 pound but actually only put out
14 to 15 on most

you gas mileage will be worse and it will load up
at idle with the 21

go to http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/
And get a set of Bosch 0280150556 D5B-19lb*
NEW 6/Set: $187.88

they are also matched within 2% unlike factory 15%
your idle will be smother better mid and top end
performance and an overall smother running motor

Heh...damn.

What do you mean by load up at idle?

I guess I'll order the fiveo ones.

How much of a horsepower increase can I expect? Will I notice a difference as far as the butt dyno goes?

Thanks!

I'll probably go ahead and upgrade.

My truck has 75k, so it wouldn't be a big difference anyways.

No big horsepower increase with the injectors but
you will have a smother idle and an overall better
running motor.

You will notice a little better mid and top end
performance but remember it will take a few
hundred mile for the comp to trim the fuel and a
lot of trucks do show better gas mileage with the
better injectors

Reason, better atomization 4 hole design over 1
matched 2% of each other not 15% making it easier
for the comp to maintain the proper air fuel ratio

What do you mean by load up at idle?
Load up at idle, flooding to much gas

Yes on left orange and black same thing I am
running.

Bruce is a great guy, I always call his cell on
sunday to talk with him when I need injectors
and he is the guy I buy all our injectors from
when we need replacements
