I have a 00 cc 5.9 and i have race an extreme 4 times in one night and i kicked the sh!t out of it not once not twice not even three times but all four times. mine is a auto with 3.55 gears and 4x4 all it has is a k&n air filter. i have no idea what he was running in his but it wasnt enough. We took off from a stop light in town and went 4 blocks and i kicked it ass evertime!!! and thats all i have to say about that...

I owned a 95 Dakota Sport 3.9L for 8 years and put 150,000 miles on it. Loved my Dodge and would buy another. When I went to buy a new truck the 4.3 won this time over that 3.7L, and chevy's so called new I-5. Hello truck engine not car engine.They gave you more hp less tonqe. Same with the Dodge more hp still 235 LBs of tonqe. I Realize that my S-10 is an 04, and both companies have made improvements over the years. But my S-10 tows better handles better and is so much quicker then my old Dakota. Oh by the way the s-10 is a crew and the Dakota was regular cab.

The 3.7L Dakota is a hella lot better than the 4.3 trust me I have driven both and there is a big difference...I think that the 3.7 is almost like a car motor but will handle about any v6 out there in a truck....still i won a 94 3.9 dakota with a few mods and it pulls better accelerates faster than my friends 97 s10 4.3. I have actually raced a 3.7 and got OWN3D. So If I were to buy a v6 it would be a 3.7 fo sho!
