which intake is the best for a 3.9 v 6 dak. i dont wanna spend over $250. i already have the k&n drop in filter but intakes are better. which one should i buy?

They all are close to being the same. the ones w/ a heat shield that block off the filter are better. Home-made ones work good and save alot of money.Money that you can use on the next mod. Pepboys have the parts ( pipes/elbows/filters) you need. or black plastic pipe from Home Depot.

Get one of the inexpensive one from ebay like chrome air intakes, the ither you will pay a ton of money to get one.

Im thinking of going Ram Air with my 3.9 '01 dak. I have a airraid intake with throddle body spacer(waste of money) and the intake has no heat sheild which you probably know the engine heat just gets sucked in so i was looking at Suncoast ram air hoods and thinking on going that rout. Gives it a nice stylish look not have to worry about engine heat blowing right into my intake. I haven't found any one who makes air intakes w/heat sheilds for the 3.9 then again maybe i havent look hard enough. Anyways just wondering if anyone else has looked into or has purchased a ram air hood from Suncoast?
