I have a '94 2WD Dak with a V6/Auto. The engine, smokes, the lifters and the timing chain both rattle. The Auto just received an expensively new converter, front pump bushing and seal, but there are still metal deposits in the pan. The mechanics who did the trans job also dropped my catalytic converter and now that rattles. I wanted to sell the truck, but i can't seem to give it away. And it's not so much that people see and hear it, they just don't call about it. So i'm thinking about swapping in an EFI or TBI V8, whichever was available, from a junkyard. Does anyone know if this has been done and if so, by whom. Also if someone would like to buy my truck and is in the NJ area, that would be great too. Thanks.

$2,000 Red on Gray. The body and paint is pretty good. Ijust drove it up from Florida eight months ago so there isn't any rust. Tires are only eight months old and it got a new tune up then too. The AC worked when i bought it. It runs and drives excellent. I've made several trips to Philly from North Jersey in it and have never had a problem.

Humm, give me a little time to think on it.

Im done with the Ford work vans I have and thinking of replacing a few with Gen 2 Daks, I can keep those running very cheaply and know em like the back of my hand.

Red/grey, is it an SLT?

Thanks, Scott

I'm not sure of the option packages, but the automatic transmission and ac seem to be the only options, unless you include intermitten wipers and power steering. It has the same wheels as your truck and a bedliner also. I only bought the truck to move up to Jersey because it was cheaper than blowing $500+ on a uhaul. I have a Firebird and a '67 Mustang so i just don't have a need for it.At this point, i'm taking an $800 loss on it to sell it for 2k, but i'm in the middle of buying a house and the extra cash would be really helpful.
