Is there a New Jersey Club for dodge dakota owners?
If not a club, any other nj dakota owners?
If so, anyone interested a "Dakota meet" to show off trucks, maybe a picnic/barbeque, or charter boat salt water fishing trip?
I live in Edison.
I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4.
4.7l engine, 5 spd manual tranny.
Modification are Bedrug bedliner and ARE CH cap.
Let me know if anyone has interest in any of the above activities. If there is acceptable response, maybe we can enjoy a day trip.

I would be interested in a NJ meet. I'm in northern NJ about 20 miles north of Edison. I havent been deep sea fishing in ages. I'd love to go.

Hi Mark,
A meet or fishing trip would be nice. We will have to see how many are interested and find a convienent location.
I like to get at least one salt water fishing trip in a year. Usually go for whatever is biting at the time like fluke (my favorite) or bluefish. Guess it depends on the time of year. I know tuna season is or should be starting soon but these trips are usually big bucks to attend.

I think the weekend after labor day is too short a time frame to plan something accordingly. I am interested in a meet, but do not want to drive too far. It may be best to plan this event for the spring. By that time, maybe more folks will respond, and can plan a place and time for it.

Spread the word, I would like to meet other Dakota owners and have a meet or fishing trip.

yea my boss is awesome he just booked the trip we leave the 28th and will be back with some yellow fins the next day!sometime next year we will have to have a dakota fishing trip.ill let you guys know how it went.
p.s. heard thru the grape vine no luck with trolling so we will be chumming the waters

Thanks Durtydog, I would apperciate the boat information and would like to hear how your trip goes.
Brian, thanks for you input and will let you know when something is definate.
Everyone, please let others know about a NE meet. I am not on-line at home and currently have a limited access to a computer.
I suppose that early next year we can get enough people together and plan accordingly.
In a worse case senerio, if only a few people are interested, I could have a bar-be-que at my house here in Edison, NJ.

just heard from the captian of our charter.he said due to the tropical storm that passed us there is 8 to 10 feet swells.so hopefully in one weeks time they will disapate.ill fill you guys in on how its going.
p.s. next year without a doubt we will do a dakota fishing trip!

Weather is a major factor when going on a deep sea fishing trip. I hope the seas will be calmer for your trip. A friend of mine who usually goes on many tuna trips a year has had many trips cancelled due to weather.
We went on a deep sea trip for black sea bass one time in January. Of course it was THE coldest day of the winter season. The boat had a layer of frozen sea water on it when we got to the fishing spot. Thanks for the memories but the winter trips are out for me.
Good luck on your trip.
Next year for sure about a Dakota fishing trip.
Even if it is a day trip for Fluke or Bluefish. Weather is warmer for those fish anyway.

The responses I have received from the 3 different Dakota sites that this event has been posted, have had mixed responses.
Not everyone is interested in a fishing trip.
I guess these will have to be 2 seperate events. Thats fine with me, A Meet on saturday and fishing on sunday or whatever.
Please respond if you have a preference, A Meet or a Fishing trip, or both.
It would be easier on me if your responses are emailed to me directly.

Auto show in the meadowlands? I'm in! Thats right down the hill from me. Ive been to that one and the one in nyc in 1997 and NYC was much better. I got some nice pictures from there. they are in the auto shows album
