Message: I really don't like the new Country Music, I do like the old stuff, from the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
George Jones AKA The Possum, probably one of my favorite singers,
also Hank Sr. & Jr. , DAC, Meryle, Waylon, Cash, they were the best.

Message: i would agree with the older country being better. some of the new stuff is alright, but alot of it isn't real country, it's more like pop country, or a version that's way too close to other genres to be considered country. remember the song tim mcgraw did with nellie? it's getting that rediculous. but anyway george jones, waylon, willie, merle, and cash are my favorite old ones. the newer people i like are "king" george (strait), alan jackson, and trace adkins.

Message: Prior to last year I wouldn't have been caught dead listening to country but all the radio stations started to suck balls so country stations were the last alternative.
Anyone heard the band Sugarland? Man, that girl can sing. Their very first single, 'baby girl' in in the top 10 right now and I'm pretty sure the group will go places.
Now on the other hand, the Wilkinsons. If that chick went on American Idol, I don't think they'd let her get five bars before they kick her off, that chick can't sing worth a crap.
