I owned a GM once. That was enough. There is a reason why GM stands for Garbage Mover. That's all they are, Garbage.

You know why people hot rod Chevy's? You have to change parts all the time so you may as well go all aftermarket and get a part that might work for more than 5 miles.

Fords ain't no better. Tranny's and starters's go out weekly.

Yeah, I do. Anyone who owns a GM is garbage. At least I only made that mistake once when I was a kid (66 GTO best looking GM ever made)

What's your excuse?

I just felt like I should comment on the lack of aftermarket lifts for Dakotas.

Who needs em? I've taken my truck over some crazy things. I didn't need no lift. My buddies S-10 well it was left behind. When we decided it couldn't go over a few rocks, in the middle of the trail.

My first truck was a '86 Ford Ranger 4x4. Only prolem I had was a broken parking brake cable. Snapped on a cold freezing rain kinda day. Good solid truck that never left me sitting.
My next truck was a '79 Blazer. Drove it for about a year & got rid of it because the fuel bill was killing me. Otherwise, a solid truck with no major problems considering it was 15 yrs old when I bought it.
Next truck was a '95 S-10. Loved it. Never any problems, never in the shop except for a wiper motor recall (fixed in 10 minutes) great style, well built, put 120,000 miles on it before I traded it in on my '02 Dak. I would have bought another S-10 except at the time the Dak was a much better value than anything the local Ford or Chevy dealers had on the lots. Paid $16,000 for my Dak Sport with the V8, AC, & auto (wish it was a 5 spd) The same money would have gotten me a stripped down S-10 with a V6.
So far I love my Dak. No problems, great V8 power, solid feel & great style.
The point? All of the major manufacturers make quality vehicles. It all comes down to personal needs, value, & taste.
