some of these posts on here are just messed up. the only way you could know a person's sexual preference and habits would be first hand.
anyways, neons are nice little cars. I have a dakota and if dodge put as much into building the neons as they do the dak's they would be a much more reliable ride. As of now they are junk. 4 of the 5 neons i've had experience with had major overheating problems, and the damn door panels fell out of everyone of them. I think modding any kind of vehicle to race and drive to work is ust plain lame. Making your neon go fast is no better then making a honda go fast. the civic is a nice little car too, and for the money i'd go import any day.

the blue neons also have that paint chipping issue...I have seen a lot of them around here that do that. As for the overheating thing, I have heard of that also.

I just got rid of my 98 neon for a 2000 integra. no i'm not into those huge wings and crap, keep it stock looking. But I did like the way the neon handles. I could push that thing so dang hard around corners. I can push my teg faster, but i can't feel the road as well.
I did have a hell of a lot of problems with the neon. Headgasket went at 60k(i know its a normal problem), windows kept falling off the tracks, etc.... They are good cars but i still say most imports are more reliable. As for the srt/4 that thing is damn fast. Just have to wait and see if they built it to last or not. I've always said drive for yourself and no one else.

The first gen Neons were...poorly executed. If they were made by Toyota or Honda they would have lasted less than a year.
They all blew head gaskets until the design was changed 4 years into production. Talk about not giving a shlt about your customers. That's why DC has a secret 100,000 mile/7 year warranty.
The tail lights leak water into the trunk which will rot out if not detected.
The windows on the 2 doors get 2 wide grooves cut into them by the guide asembly.
The NVT350 is a POS.
Everyone loose their front passenger side wheel cover yet? Vibration in the unbalanced drive shaft causes that.
My gen1 was a turd heap, my gen2 is waaaay better.

Yo check it. Hondas and ACURAS SUCK! Weak motors, what they call V_TECH isnt much more than what neons have. Just a smart way of sayin Valve timing, that you ricers believe to be god sent technology, sh*t been out since the fifities lol
whatever. Small engines means LESS POWER. 2.0 liter on a car under 3,000 pounds is quite a beefy machine. i have had my car for 83,000 miles. I DRIVe IT TO THE CORE. No leaks, No Breaks. Nothing. Neons ROCK. I live in da ghettos and boy believe me them ricers HATE ME!!! When i drive by it aint a high pitch fart cannon blaster, that goes 2 miles an hour at 7,500 RPM, I ROCK HONDAS while sittin back in low range RPMS. When you hear an engine GROWL, ITS AMERICAN BABY! So whoever wants to say Hondas rock, all I gotts to say is BRING IT!!!!!
