One of my friends bought a beater. It turned out to have a blown head gasket so he left it at my house for a month. We finally fixed it and mayonaise was in the oil pan.

Mayo, huh? Hmmm slow and tasty. I just want something with good mileage and is easily repairable. I saw lots of Toyotas on ebay, but the '83 Caprice Wagon for $200 kinda caught my eye. I know the mileage probabaly sucks. What size V-8 did Chevy put in those(305 c.i. or 350 c.i.)?

I had a beater to save gas. I had a 79 bronco at the time. It was a 78 mustang 4cyl. I paid $650 in 93 and it looked in perfect shape. Glossy orange paint, no interior rips and 72k original miles. The perfect beater. I definitely got my money's worth out of that. Then had a Fiero as a beater. That was a pretty fun little car for a 4cyl. Handled well.

You know what a cool beater is.
SUZUKI swift.

What you do is get a 5 speed or 4 or what ever kind of crap they have but make sure its manual tranny.

Take the rev limiter of.

Then at a light beside a mustang or camaro rev it up to 12000 rpm and belive me this 3 cylinder thing can take it for a few secs the drop the clutch and this thing rockets. But after you do it like 4 times it starts making noise but its worth it to see the faces of mustang owners.

I had an 86 Nissan Micra which I sold last year (for $1500!!!). It was a great little zippy car, you could drive it all week for $20, and it never once got stuck in snow. (Wish I could say the same about my Dak!)

Got through EIGHT years of college mastering the art of the disposable car. Finally, I would scour the ad/street looking for old civics and usually buy one for 300-500 clams. they would have 150000-180000 but would last for ever as long as you fed it oil it would get you 35-40 mpgs. I'm so glad to have my truck! eight years of wedging my fat a$$ into hondas was driving me buggy. (although I did get the habit of using a seat belt-so I got that goin' for me.
Searching for total enlightenment,

we played around with my friends brothers 89 Pathfinder. It had been so messed up, brakes sort of worked, body totally trashed. So what better to do then go offroading. Pop it in 4 wheel drive and break it.

Nothing can beat my stock Geo Metro. I raced an Indy car yesterday and smoke it! I was doing 320 mph like it was nothing. Best part about the car, I only paid 45,000 for it! Talk about a steal!!!
