I have a 1982 Dodge Rampage. It runs great. It only has 95,000 original miles. The only part that I had trouble finding was the radiator. The model listed for it on ALL of the websites did not fit. Apparently the 1982 Rampage had two different radiators. The one manufactured later in the year has the same radiator as the 1983 and 1984. The earlier ones were different. Luckily, my mechanic was able to adapt it. The only difference in it was that it was slightly wider and the holes for the support bolts were different. He just drilled new hole. Problem solved!

Dodge only made 45,000 Rampages, total. One of the quirks was the deep-dish steering wheel, which was required out of necessity because Rampages/Omnis/Horizons did NOT have collapsing steering columns in a front-end collision; the steering wheel itself had to absorb the impact. Scary, huh?

Best vehicle I've ever owned, it's a 1984, 5 speed, has 210000 miles w/the original clutch. Still drive it, gets about 30 to 35 miles per gallon, even w/some bad valves. Body's still good, starting to show some rust. Sadly I think it's time to sell it somehow, would like to rebuild it but don't find the time or energy anymore. Bought it new in June of "84", best money I've ever spent on a vehicle.

Bought an 82 rampage for my son, he loves it, Does anyone know how to adjust the door handles. Driver side is extremely hard to open. seems to be too much "give" in it and you have to lift and pray to get it to open

I don't hink you cna adjust the door handles, they just wear out. There is a bushing in the handle that wears, or it may be the tang where the pushrod attaches is broken away. It's hard to explain, but it you take it the handle off from the inside of the door, you'll easily see what the problem is. You probably won't be alb eto fix it, just replace it.

BTW, I own an 83 Rampage that I love and my wife hates. Gets 32 mpg and lots or second looks. Really nothing else like it out there.
