LOL! I don't believe it... my company is paying my expenses, day off with pay to go!! With a dig. camera to take pics. I get to attend the pre-show media days, and get the free package (CDs, brochures etc.) and breakfast too. Wooooohooo!!! :)

I work in the creative production department at a newspaper. Part of my job every week is to research and download all the new cars & products for our weekly "Wheel Power" tabloid. So, basically, I get to spend a whole day on the net, looking at pictures of new cars and trucks, and reading about all the new goodies on the market (they pay me for this, lol). Then I lay out the pages, edit the stories. I also design the ads for the dealerships. I've done feature illustration and editorial cartoons as well.

I'm ONLY going on the media days this year, when it's empty. Last year I went back on a Saturday, those crowds are unbelievable. I can't take that.

How did you like the show this year Lesley? Although the viper was the only thing hangin from the ceiling, that dakota "rage" was A1!

It was a great show. That dak was nice. But chrysler didn't have the SRT-10 again - what a disappointment. I wasn't too impressed with the M80.
I thought the GM display was incredible. Those concepts (Cien, Autonomy, Solstice, Caddy sixteen) were gorgeous. The SSR wasn't there on the day I was so I didn't get to see it. Neither was Nissan's Titan, their new big truck that is supposed to be a serious contender with as much hp as the Hemi 1500.
Did you see the Spiderman Honda? Not that I would be caught dead in it, but the airbrushing was terrific.

Yea, they didn't have the SRT-10 here in the Memphis International Show that took place this weekend. But they had the concept of the Charger R/T which was awesome. Saw 3 daks and buncha rams with hemi and neons and intrepids in the dodge section.

Do you ever here any dodge guys at those shows mention a diesel ever making it into the dak? I'm just hoping that by the time I wear out my current dak (it'll be a while; only 42K) i'll have the option of diesel. I want turbo diesel. I need turbo diesel.

I wish but there are o engine available that would fit. I've searched high and low for a diesel dak conversion to no avail. Unless of course I want to drop in a 5.9L Diesel and just sit in the back seat after the dash gets pushed a foot forward.
