why thursday you ask?well its my wifes night for tv channel 4 all the shows i cant stand to watch!!

Yeah, same here with the crazy hours. I'm a truck driver and sometimes I get up at 1AM, sometimes 3AM, sometimes 6AM, just depends on the run I get. Bummer!!! But I'm usually done by noon:-)

Drove an eighteen for Dart Transit out of Eagan, MN, system driver, 48 states & Canada, for 5 years. Now I'm regional out of NJ, in a ten- wheeler (read Volkswagen, LOL) delivering seed & fertilizer. Home every night mostly except for an occasional 2- day trip. Did you pull "Wiggle-Waggons" for Con-Way?

Yeah I did,they werent to bad to pull,(if they were loaded that is)main thing is you cant back a set up so when you park you have to make sure you can pull out or your not going anywhere.I tell ya though I miss driving.The worst part about Con-Way is the hours.I work 2 am till when we get the last city route trailer loaded,usually around 11 to 12.Kinda sucks having to go to bed so early.But its a living.

Yeah, I always thought about trying to back up with them, didn't think it could be done either. One night I was doing my paperwork in a rest area on the Ohio Tpk. and the doubles & triples would park right in front by the fuel pumps so they could get out. There was a driver with double 53's that came out of the restaurant and he was boxed in on the side and the only way to get out was to back up. I couldn't believe it but he did it & he had to back up about 75'. All he did was take a little at a time, he'd back till the rear box started to jack, then pull forward to straighten out and do it again. It took about 10 minutes but he got out of there, he had alot more patience than I'll ever have!
Yeah you must have had alot of fun pulling MT's in the wind! That's when they start whippin' back & forth.
I used to pull 57's down south for Dart's southern subsidiary Fleetline in Dallas, TX. I'd get stuck under a 57 for weeks sometimes because even the Fleetline drivers didn't want to pull them. I didn't mind though as long as they sent me through Louisiana so I could get some of that Cajun food! That's what I miss the great food on the road. I'd go out of the way to get a good meal at an excellent restaurant. I'd get all 75' in there or I'd drop the trailer at a truckstop & bobtail over to chow down! Darn it, now I'm starting to think about running the system again!

I have tried backing them before,not a pretty sit those 28' trailers swing to quick!!!I miss driving but not pulling those sets I feel more at home with a 53
