Subject: rear end ratio 3.92 or 4.11?

Hi Dak owners in the states. Is there someone who is able to help a Dak owner in good old Germany?
Truck is a Dakota Sport,2.5 Liter, 4 Cyl, lot of tuning parts, air suspension
During my last trip to Italy the rear end got rotten, because I filled in wrong oil a few months ago.So now I have to change ring and pinion. The stock rear end ratio is 3.55 and I am towing with this small motor-believe it or not- a caravan with 2600lbs and a Harley behind me with 750 lbs. It is hard to believe but it works, but with a shorter gear ratio I think it will be easier for the truck. Does anybody have any experience of wich gear ratio will be the best?
I hope I explained my problem clearly enough because I am not a native speaker.
Looking forward in your help.
Bye
