I'd like to know what you run now?
I cant find the time to go get tires so I can get to the damn track!! I cant wait.
As I was telling 92Dak, I spanked (and I mean bad) another highly modified Civic running a fogger setup the other night.
He said he could tell by the sound of my Dak that it was less than an 8 but he had to see the engine to really believe it because of the way I left him. That $50 sure was easy!! lol
Keep me posted dude, I am real curious what kinda times you run if your still S/C.
Take care all.

i am going to be getting a limited slip soon and will be getting some more juice at the time.
hey bernds truck just ran a 10.6x all motor with a brand new motor with all the goodies so my goal is less than 10.6x... hehe
dave,

Message: last night sucked... i need to work on shifting...
well the temp was about 90 degrees and the humidity at a wonderful 85%. i was using my bald street tires on my steel wheels. My truck spun the tire pretty good out of the hole and i was running against an old chevy that had a good sounding smallblock. i had him the whole way until it was time to shift into 3rd and i went just a little past and caught neutral ($%^@$#%@$#!!!)...
i hit a 11 flat and that guy hit a 10.7... if i didnt screw it up at the end i think i woulda got a 10.4 or 10.5 because that guys front bumper was just a little behind my rear bum... uh tail gate.
so right now i am very ashamed of myself and will go back tonight to seek revenge!!!! plus i am bringing my slicks and i am gonna let my truck cool off (i ran right after i got there last night).
sooooo..... i think that my truck is capable of low 10s but i dont think that i am ;-)

11.09
11.06
11.51 (missed a shift)
all of them ended at about 65 mph
talk about being consistent! my truck was having a hard time getting out of the hole and at about 50-60 mph my truck was literally falling on its face. I am gonna get some 4.10 gears with a lsd and that should help but after talking to bernd some we decided that i need to up grade my tb. i still have just a modified V6 throttle body. i am also thinking that i need to get a new torque converter but something on my engine just doesnt seem to be running right.

Looks like I may actually get to the track next week, I'll post here.
Take care guys.

Message: well the only reason i was posting it is because there has to be something wrong... 100 shot of NOS shouldnt be able to knock 2.1 seconds off of a 1/8th mile time... maybe a 1/4 mile track but not a 1/8th. One thing i am worried about is the function of my transmission... i think i need to do some sensor replacement of such... i am gonna have bernd look at it in the next couple of weeks or so. Another thing is i added a tailpipe and i think its pretty restrictive because its bent to hell by the local muffler man. ALSO, my rear end has been making a lot of funny noises lately and i think its about to give. On my way home i felt like driving the damn thing into a concrete pillar i was so mad. But like i said i think i need a new throttle body, cut the cat out, loose the tailpipe, buy better gears and such. well i am gonna keep posting my times and problems and fixes right here (where no one will see them! ;-)
got any ideas? naturally aspirated sucks!
oh my consistant time with the 100 shot of nitrous was 9.2

As for all the excuses, lol, some could be problems but your rear couldnt slow you down i dont think.
I do feel your pain though.... I find it reeeeeal hard to even try to get on it without hitting the bottle, I mean it just feels like it gets slower and slower now without the bottle!! You probably know what I mean.
I know there is no way a person could be happy with even the most modified V6 Dak after drivin one of ours on the perfect day:...... its just after a warm day the air is getting thick with dew and your bottle is still at 1000psi, the road is still hot from the sun and your feeling good from whatever it may be modifing you at the moment,
:-D>, you pull her out nice and easy onto a fairly secluded street and roll along about 15 to 25 mph, you slam the pedle down and next thing you know all hell and fury of what seems to be a couple of V8's pours out of your little 6 banger like its gonna come apart. As you fight to keep the ass end from becomming frontward you decide to let off.
After you do you cant help but notice that stupid ass grin you couldnt even slap off your face if you wanted to.
Thus concludes a testosterone filled episode of Nitrous playhouse, thanks for joining me in this little journey of the mind, body and soul. lol
Cya, good luck buddy.

I was looking at putting a new coil on my truck. The place I went only had the accel supercoil and they wanted 45.99 for it. LMAO I'll put on onew of the neato msd ones when I do the switch.
Anyway, I was talkin to the guy and he said that that coil wouldn't run my truck. He said it was designed for chevy 350's and my truck wouldn't run right with it. I think it was kinda b.s. He was tellin me that the msd/accel/hotrodder style coil won't work with my truck. Eric and I just laughed him off.

Message: No the coil is fine.. it's that plug that plugs into the coil. the wires that go to that are bad. He needed to replace the plug but no one has the plug to replace. So we were going to stick one of those coils that you just screw the wires onto instead of needing one of those fancy plugs.
I'm curious as to how Dave got his truck out of my drive way :-p

Message: Well...
To make sure the connection between the plug and the coil was tight I used a bunch of electrical tape to secure the tab thing that holds it on. I think that it was vibrating out of place. Then I made sure the wires going to the coil were far enough in the plug and in a good position for contact. Yeah that's the ticket. I took the plug apart and redid the connections inside. Seems to be cool right now. But I still plan on slapping in an msd coil.
