I was camping this weekend with a guy who has a 1991 Dakota. 196,000 miles. Still running strong. Anyone have mileage like this?

well it aint a dakota but still a dodge... our van with a 1985 318 2bbl 999auto has 300,000 original miles... only had to replace the tranny at 285,000 when my brother got it airborne... doh!

i have a 2000 4.7l with almost 200,000 km (highway) on it, i haven't had any problems with it at all, just take good care of them and they will last forever!! cuz its a dodge

I'm glad to hear that about our new 4.7. Long lives the Dodge 318, 360, hell all of their past V8's were great runners! I only hope I get the same service from my 4.7

I made it to 174K on my '93 3.9L Dak before any major problems, Then the lower half of the engine exploded (3 pistons in diff directions out the oil pan), 2 transmissions, a transfer case and a rear Diff later, I finally gave up on the poor thing at 246K. It's growing rust in my back yard now while I drive my new (to me) '02 QC 4.7L 4X4! Hopin I get the same life out of my new Dak, already at 51K.

220,000 here, I rebuilt the motor for performance reasons at 160,000 but it was running strong with no problems and the original clutch (replaced it durring the rebuilt just because)

My 91 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9L has 140,000 hard driven on road racing, off road hauling, teenager driven miles on it.
And it's still running strong.

My teenager son drives 87 Dakota 3.9L with 188,000 miles on it. He only changes oil (when I remind him) and that's all. It runs smooth and passes smog without any problems.

My motor has almost 192,000 miles on it. I installed my supercharger when it had 142,000 miles on it. I have stomped on this motor for all its worth for the last 50,000 miles and it still runs hard with minimal oil burning and no valves tapping. My wife wont let me get a crate motor (Stroked 360) till this one blows up. It just keeps going.
