I talked to a guy at Pro Finish who said if we could get 10 or more people we could get 20% off and 25% off for 20 or more on the shaker hoods. They are $849 with a K&N air filter. They have them for the 4.7, 5.2, and 5.9 for sure and I was going to call them to find out some more information on them. I am trying to find out if anyone is really willing to go in on this.

The shaker is a fiberglass hood. Very nice kit. My painter said it was the best fiberglass hood he's ever painted. Says alot about quality you get with Proglass!

Every time you hit a bump or rev 'er up you can watch the bubble shake.
I was told by the distributor that the shaker adds 15 hp, but dunno if that's a correct statement or not. I picked up 1-2 mpg after the install, but I think that came from the rolltop cover I installed at roughly the same time.

I really don't think the group buy is going to happen becasue I have not seen much interest in it. There has to be a minimum of 10 orders.

$640 would be 20% off of the $800. I am going to call tomarrow and find out the latest information. I would like to do this group buy but we need people to do it. When I tried this before only one or two wanted to do it. If we can get 10 though we should be able to get it for around $640 + shipping and painting.

The latest information is that if we get 10 orders we get 15% off. For the 4.7, 5.2, and the 5.9 it is $849 with the K&N filter. It would be around $723 for the hood. The way it works is that they want one check that has the total for all of the hoods including shipping. They then ship them out form there. They can only ship one a day I was told. I do not want to collect any money until there are 10 people. I would like to have one and then I am going to try to see if I can find anyone else here locally. Seriously!!
You may want to wait a few weeks. There is a new hood that is in the works as we speak. It has been in development phase since early january. It prototypes have been made, and the final mold is in the works right now. In a very short time we will have the first production model and after testing (track, dyno, smoke test, and possibly air-flow data) the hood will be for sale and will start with an introductory buy.
The quality will be at least as good as the shaker(which is a really well made product), but the pricing should be less, and it will be a fully functional RAM-AIR hood, with heat extraction!
This is not another cold air mock up hood, but an engineered hood, using basic proven design, and a new style RAM-AIR system.
If you are intersted just send me an email and as soon as I get the go ahead Ill release pictures to anyone who wants them.
