Folks,
There's been a lot of talk about the group buys and why the delays on some of the orders.
What you need to bear in mind is that the group buy is just that...a large purchase based on a certain quantity of people. The process of the group buys does (in some cases) take longer than with a normal purchase. The reason for this is that the manufacturer needs to anticipate the order, have supplies ready for the order, and be able to process the large order while still keeping their regular production running.
Group buys will always have small issues where delays are possible. One specific case was with Gibson and a Stainless Steel order that was delayed twice from the manufacturer due to a unannounced price increase and then a delay on the actual building of the product. While we do apologize for any delays and try to do what we can to expedite the order, some of them are just out of our control.
Another example is with the Leather buy from Jonas. Katskin does not charge your credit card until the product is shipped. They are also custom leather builds that are not always in stock...therefore creating small delays in the delivery of the product.
As for the MTX delays, those are entirely up to MTX production.
While we can't explain, or excuse, everytime there is an issue, we can say that the group buys are not an easy task to manage on larger order quantities. Also, we understand that people get frustrated and a little angry at times, but contacting the person/company running the buy is your first step. If you can't get the issue resolved...or just aren't happy with the process, you can always cancel your order.
We hope this helps clarify some issues and concerns with the delays and time frames from order to delivery.
