Does anyone know if I can adapt this? Don't want to go with an air raid, but I may have to unless they come out with something for the 3.9 .

Message: I'm in !!! I've been talking to K&N about this kit for about a year now. Every time I talk to them they tell me, "Check back in two months". I think that they have a non-complete agreement with other intake kit suppliers who are using the K&N filter, consequently they cannot produce and market their own air intake kit. Keep me informed. Thanks

Message: 57-1509 is the part number that will fit the 3.9, 5.2, & 5.9. I don't know the part number for the 4.7 yet. I was just giving that number to Lesly because he told me that they dont make one for his engine.
I don't mean to try and steal any business away from K&N but we just completed the cold air system prototype for the 4.7. It's sweet! We will be getting dyno and track times soon so that we can start producing these. I don't have any pics up yet but anyone that is interested can e-mail me at 2001dak@home.com.

Message: Well, it's been another two months and still no K&N intake for the 4.7. Does anyone have an update, or are these people pulling our collective legs? Do they really intend to make the product for our vehicle or are they happy selling filters to the other companies making intake for the 4.7 ?? Some of you might remember that I've been askng K&N about this product since July 2000 and all they can tell me is " Another two months"

Message: Everyone,,,,, just go to 360airintakez.com and get an intake from them. It's similiar to the Z-tube but about $50 cheaper ($160 all together w/shipping for the 360airintakez), AND it comes with a K&N cone filter! wow.
Had mine for a few weeks, it sounds awesome.

Message: I had it('01 CC 4.7 3.55 auto) dynoed with only a 2 chamber Flowmaster catback on her,,,nothing else,,,,,was going to Colvin Automotive here in Austin to dyno it this morning,,,but got in a heated discussion with some idiot at Chrysler financial. They mistakenly took another payment of $400 after receiving payoff. Sux....
Anywho,,,w/out hard core 'proof' of pwr increase I can't say for sure what kind of gains came with it. However; the butt dyno feels a positive gain. Seems after the intake was installed I have a bit more low end. Having trouble launching with out too much wheel spin,,,,many smokey burn-outs though..heheheee.
I just thought I would offer an alternative to ya'll. This intake is very similiar to the Z-tube, but it's two pieces, which allows you the ability to move it (limited) into different positions to fit easier. It's also cheaper ($160 shipped) than the K&NII's, and Z-tube,,,,,Plus you'll have it with in a week!(Don't know about ya'll but I'm very impatient with my toys!)
just my 4.7 cents......

But I am able to get you guys in on a Volant cold air intake. Same Idea as the K&N black plastic tube that wont heat up like an airaid and a open filter element. So if anyone is interested just give me a call. 800-719-8100 ext.226
