If anyone is interested in a group buy on throttle bodies (Fastman or Flometrics) let me know. I deal direct with the manufacturers (some on a personal level).

Throttle bodies will be on group buy asap.. look for a link at the top of the page. Ill post prices here momentarily. They will be available from Fastman or Flometrics for the 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9 (sorry 4.7's but we will have OUR own as soon as they are all finished). For more information email me or just wait for my next post.

Message: Nope, what sucks is that I've only had the truck 2-3 weeks and never had it dyno'ed stock. I'll be putting some time on the dyno once I'm finished with the bulk of the mods for tuning and to find out the HP and Torque numbers.

Message: Do we have a update on when the 2001 4.7 TBs will be available?
Will they be Flowmetrics and what size (ex: 50mm)?
BTW, some web site I was on today said a 2001 4.7 TB will be available on 5/25/01...I haven't been able to backtrack to see who was offering that date and what product...hopefully our group buy (yes, I'm interested) will be in that same timeframe.
Thanks.

The 4.7L TB's have hit a snag again (not with the actual TB but rather the CNC machine). We spoke with Flometrics yesterday and they're working hard to fix the problem with the machine.
As for the exact date, they won't be ready by the 25th that's for sure. Once the bodies are cut on the mill (a few days), they get sent to the anodizer (which takes one week for a turn-around). Then, they need to be assembled, checked (QA), and shipped. (Another few days.)
We're looking at approximately two more week...but are not promising any dates at this time. Pricing also hasn't been released yet so be careful when someone posts a price on them.

Thanks again...

I had spoken with Bruce (Flometrics) again on the website and he hasn't authorized anyone to post that information yet. There are two other vendors (Fastman and Hughes Engines) who do have them available...but not Billet (Factory casting modified).

Message: Is there a mailing list for the 4.7 F&B Billet throttle bodies as to when they will be in production and available for order?
What do other 4.7 owners recommend for a cold-air intake kit other than a home-brew setup? I kinda liked the look of the Z-tube from Intenseperformance.com but still am not sure if that's the way to go.

Message: Bernd can correct me if I'm wrong but I beieve these aftermarket TBs for the 4.7 will need a unique cold air intake to fit, meaning z-tube, Volant, the K&N GEN II, etc, won't fit...I think they're working on a cold air intake to fit the new Flowmetrics TB...hopefully package it together.

Message: We are working with Intense Performance on a custom tube and Flometrics will supply an adapter to fit the factory tubes and current "Z-Tube".
There is no mailing list for these but once they're available, it will be posted on several lists.

Message: Thanks Bernd...no reason to wait on that new IntensePerformance tube right, meaning I can order the current z-tube and use it with the stock TB then get the new Flowmetrics TB and use it's adaptor for that current tube...kinda of a 'give me the extra HP now' attitude...or will that new tube with no adaptor to the new Flowmetrics TB give better HP/TQ gains?
BTW, does anyone else other then IntensePeformance sell the z-tube on the NET?
Thanks again!
