2THEEXTREME, go ahead and just do the frount to back on your directional tires. the main reason for doing an X type rotation is to change the direction of rotation on regular type tires to "smooth" out the high spots/scalopping of the tread lugs. switching yours from side to side ,will still have the tires rolling in the same direction,so, as you said , why take a chance on damaging a wheel or tire. you'll be ok.putting the frounts on the back helps even out the extra wear the frounts get from the "steering" loads. hope this helps...Bill
